Ninjas take on the Yacht Club

Vegas Countdown:
52 Hours

We all know there are no yachts at the yacht club, but there is a pirogue over the pool table.

Steve and the bartender, Elise...

Jeff & Steve - Blowin' it up!

What a beautiful sight...

Is there a gun-show in town?
I think I see a Red Ryder BB Gun...

"You'll shoot your eye out"

The Drill Sergeant & Elise Ronda & Cash (Freckles)

Sammy illustrating the incredible speed at which a Ninja can drink

It was a fun but LONG night. As you can see below, we started the night off with Ronda 3 strokes, but she only stroked once and came up short. Buddy brought home the first 'W'. Steve fell to Tim but Sammy and Jesse played some 'Shut-Down Pool' and closed out the night with back to back 'W's.
** Ninjas win 3-2. **

The 2008 Beijing Olympics were the backdrop for the night...
Some Chinese Gymnast fell of the Uneven Bars
..."Egg Drop Soup"

This is how you play 'Shut-Down Pool'

Are the Ninjas worried about the competition in Vegas??

...NINJA PLEASE

Outerbanks took us 3-2 but who cares were going to Vegas in 10 days

Big Ups to Buddy and the new daddy for getting us a couple wins. Pickin pockets played tight pool all night, keeping us on our toes. Good game.

During Ronda's match she found herself behind the 8 ball but had already used her time out. Jeff made a split second decision to use a diversion cloud and was able to consult her with the right shot. You cannot control a ninja, you can only hope to contain him.

Ninjas

Make sure that beer has ice in it, Athony made Honorary Ninja status. Very few are granted such a title.

Paul Newman showed up, I havent seen this dude since the Color of Money. "Did I get through to you last night, Kiddo? Cause if I didnt, I'll run it by you another way. If you would have kicked ass in any other place but Parkview, Vegas would be dead for us. The Guys Never Leave The Street. Otherwise, it would be all around."

BJ here showin us how its done with a full leg cast.  He swiss cheesed it with a dremel tool so it can breathe. And that coat hanger tucked in his cue case doubles as a leg scratcher. genius!

Double-Header for the Ninjas

The word "Ninja" in Sino-Japanese kanji script

The Ninjas had a double header this week. We played our regular session Wednesday and our make-up match for Vegas Thursday.

Wednesday night went pretty well. We won 3-2 . Congrats to Mike, Ronda, and Buddy for pulling out a 'W' .

APA Mike shut down Captain Enrique pretty handedly

I couldn't help adding this:

Thursday night did not go so well. By the time the Drill Sergeant arrived we were down 0-3 and didn't manage a win all night.

No worries. The Ninjas are in 2nd place and STILL going to Vegas!

Days left till Vegas:
16

Next week we play the 4th place team "Pickin Pockets" from Outerbanks @ Home

VS.

Now I thought about this for a long time and I decided to illustrate to all of the readers of this blog one of the many skills of a Ninja. It is a stealth tactic used as a diversion against the Samurai Warrior and dates back to the 15th Century. It is called Ninja Dust. Wednesday night Steve demonstrated this ancient skill.

Here You clearly see Ninja Steve

This is all you see after Steve applies the Ninja Dust
There is alot of responsibility that goes with 2,000 years of Japanese Warfare training and must be used wisely. After a long day of Ninjutsu, Steve is completely exhausted

Everyone loved the Ninja Koozies

Rack-Ums

Lotsa Green

**Congratulations to Sammy & Marci. They had a baby boy Thursday, July 31st**

Baby Ninja weighs 8.9lbs

We will give him some Ninja Dust for his diaper rash.

ninjas post yet another 3-2 victory

Buddy and I got us off to a lousy start but thankfully Ronda, Jeff and Sammy brought nothing but A game. Big ups to Miss Marlene for showing the Ninjas some warm hospitality while visiting her fine establishment.
